What is life coaching?
Life coaching is a confidential, professional partnership with a life coach who can guide you to achieve your personal and professional goals. Coaching is not advice-giving or counselling. Counselling focuses on mental health, whereas life coaching focuses on setting and achieving goals.
Life coaching is about change. Coaching starts from where you are currently at and helps you clarify where you would like to be. It is action oriented and goal directed. It also focuses on how you feel about your current situation and how you would like to feel about it.
Through the coaching process you will discover what is truly important to you in life and why that is important. From this enhanced understanding, clarity emerges and meaningful directions can follow.
what does a life coach do?
A life coach helps you gain clarity and insight into your behaviours and patterns ways of thinking that may be blocking you from being authentic yourself.
Many people are very clear about what they don’t want but may have given little thought to what they do want and what that looks like. A life coach will help you to make create a clear vision of where you’re headed and help you develop the skills and confidence to get there. A roadmap will be useful in guiding you to the places you want to go and meeting the challenge of new opportunities.
How can life coaching services help me?
Think about how you want your life to be. Imagine there is nothing holding you back. What would you be doing? How would you be feeling; what would you be doing and how would you be thinking? need to be to make that happen? What gets in the way? Repeated patterns of behaviour may keep you locked in to the same old outcomes. Together we can identify what you want and make that more concrete. Sometimes small actions towards bigger goals make a difference.

ABOUT LIFE COACHING WITH LINDA
I provide a confidential and professional online coaching service.
As an accredited life coach with more than 10 years’ experience, I work within an ethical framework based on a clear contract and professional boundaries, which protect your confidentiality and privacy.
I engage in ongoing professional development in coaching and reflect on my practice to ensure the best possible coaching outcomes and experience for my clients.
My approach is grounded in NLP theory. NLP has been described as “the technology that sits behind successful Life Coaching—coaching that actually helps people change things and move towards compelling goals”
I am a Nationally and Internationally accredited NLP Master Practitioner in coaching through The International Society of Neuro-Semantics and The Coaching Room. As well as using the NLP Coaching Model I also employ a range of coaching skills and strategies learnt through my personal and professional experiences as a life coach and educator, and my training in social communication.



ABOUT NEURO-LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING
NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is an incredibly powerful approach to communication and personal development developed in 1972 by John Grinder and Richard Bandler. It unlocks the power of the mind to change the way you think, feel and respond to situations.
Neuro – exploring your neurological thought processes—your mind and how you think.
Linguistic – analysing the ways that your language reflects your thought processes.
Programming – identifying and breaking free of any behavioural and thinking patterns that may be too rigid or too exacting to get you what you want in your current life. You can break free and make different choices that better reflect what you want in life and who you are. Being your authentic self is the key to what feels right.
What to expect in a first life coaching session
I will support and encourage you in an attitude of acceptance and non-judgement.
As a coach, my strengths are empathy and warmth, an ability to tune in and really listen to you, and to make a difference.
Life coaching services are offered online by Zoom, Skype, FaceTime or phone. Sessions are one hour long, arranged at a mutually agreeable time.
In the first one or two sessions as your coach, we will explore your goals and establish what you hope to achieve through life coaching.
At the end of each session we will negotiate the actions to focus on in between sessions.
You decide on the frequency of the sessions and what you want to talk about in each session.
As your life coach, I will listen and guide you, challenges and help you to connect the pieces into a more meaningful whole. Is there something in your life that you’re ready to change right now and what is that? Come with me on a coaching journey to try to make that happen.
